About

How the work gets made

One person, and a very old world to show you.

I make short films about prehistoric life. It's my way of getting a look at these worlds, and sharing the view.

Lynx Studio is just me. One person, a few tools, and a lot of patience. I make these films because I want to see these animals move and breathe and live. If I had a time machine I would just go look, so this is the closest I can get.

Some things in the films come straight from the evidence: anatomy, habitats, what we have found in the ground. Other things are guesses, and I say so. The camera, the timing, the feel of a scene, that part is imagined.

The Red Margin

Some scenes are too much for the public feed. The kills, the blood, the moments where the violence is the whole point. YouTube will not carry them, and we do not argue with that. This edition is where those scenes live: the hardest predation, held at full length, finished to the same standard as everything else here, yours to keep.
